  1. People can call me an IU homer, because I am, but Spitz’s ’72 just is better than Phelps’ ’08. 7 races, 7 golds, 7 world records. Not only that, but he swam in THE event in swimming, 100 Free, whereas Phelps bypassed that challenge. Advantage Spitz.
